I led seminars, provided leadership and consulting services to educational, hospitality, wellness, and other related businesses. The Spa at Cable Mountain Lodge
I oversaw the final planning and implementation stages of a luxury resort spa. This included assisting with final FF&E purchasing, software and hardware selection and setup, hiring and training of all opening staff and technicians, writing training manuals and protocols, accounts receivable/accounts payable, and vendor relations. I assisted the ownership as the Spa Director during the opening as well as the first six weeks of operations. My duties also included retail inventory, human resources policy writing, menu and treatment development and product selection.

I am the Founder/CEO and Principal Massage Therapist for private practice massage therapy and spa treatment business. I have provided services to individual clientele, spas, wellness practices, and related organizations. I have worked with numerous clients and have raving fans for my ability to assist in the repair of years-long sports injuries, recover from acute injuries, improve professional athletic performance, relax and pamper my clients, and for my knowledge and training I provide to educate them on how to better take care of their bodies. I have been a Utah State Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008. I am trained in over 20 forms of bodywork and energy work techniques. While working at Sun Gate Massage I have also provided education, training, and consulting for spas and wellness businesses in not only general business practices but also specifically in the practice of massage, bodywork, nutrition, herbal medicine, and detoxification.

I worked as the Director of Education for Massage at The Skin Institute in St. George, UT in conjunction with its owner. I created and published a full curriculum in massage therapy education which was later approved by the State of Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. I was solely responsible for the completing the application for the school to become registered as a Post-Secondary Proprietary School with the State of Utah Department of Commerce Division of Consumer Protection, which was successful. I designed and organized the entire massage therapy program at the school with the intention of becoming fully accredited after two years of operation.

I managed three (3) timeshare resort properties. My responsibilities included managing the physical facilities and day-to-day operations, including overseeing remodeling and refurbishing projects, managing front desk and housekeeping staff, and owner services departments. I streamlined front desk operations, revenue and occupancy reporting, exchange company inventory services, reservations, and human resources policies. I also worked to set up a new property management and reservation software system and create a new front desk training program and policies/procedures manual. Under my direction, housekeeping ratings went from an average of 80% to 100% in just three weeks.

I re-opened a 100-room resort hotel and its associated businesses including: pools and fitness center, hotel rooms, two full-service restaurants including a bar and small casino, meeting and convention facilities, and convenience store. I supervised over fifty (50) employees, managed the financials, and developed the new hotel’s branding concept. I also acted as interim General Manager for its first six months of operation.

I assisted the General Manager/Owner through a sixty (60) room expansion that more than doubled their existing size. I set up and trained front desk staff on the new computer reservation system and Secure-Key lock system. I performed other managerial duties as required, including, but not limited to: accounts payable and receivable, light bookkeeping, night auditing, public relations, employee supervision and training, retail sales, and inventory control.

I manage the executive and operations offices of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. My duties include performing and overseeing all bookkeeping and accounting functions, human resources, and assisting the Officers and Board of Directors with administrative tasks. I audited the accounting practices and books for compliance, prepared documentation for the filing of annual Form 990 taxes, scanned/printed and organized all accounting and transaction documentation, managed petty cash, employee reimbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. I also wrote a procedural manual for the accounting department to ensure proper coding of all transactions in QuickBooks. I designed and built the organization’s web-site. I designed and produced marketing materials and informative brochures.

I performed project management and research for the FDA compliance of a nationwide supplement manufacturing operation. My duties included producing regulatory compliant policies, procedures, and employee training programs, collecting and analyzing information, initiating communications between corporate divisions, creating curriculum for training programs, manufacturing processes and procedures, strategic planning, and production analytics and efficiency. While at this company I also served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, later promoted to Executive Administrator.

I provided the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee with administrative support for a three-month horse-and-wagon train re-enactment. I communicated directly with international news media and government officials. I co-designed custom scheduling and registration software for the event, I personally registered over 15,000 participants, and I produced and disseminated scheduling and safety information.

I drove carriages and wagons for a professional carriage company part-time. My duties included training new horses to drive, desensitization, and fitting horses for harness. I drove a wedding carriage, a covered wagon, a sleigh, and a full-size reproduction Wells Fargo Stagecoach. I drove Morgan horses and Belgian horses. The company also had a pony ring, which I assisted with from time to time as needed. I also assisted in feeding, transportation, and general care of over 15 horses including draft horses, saddle horses, and ponies.

I led hikes, supervised minor students, taught Native American wilderness survival skills, and provided leadership and feedback to professionals for a youth rehabilitation wilderness program in the Verde River Valley of the Arizona desert. Skills I taught included bow-drill fires, shelter building, finding and purifying water, hunting, tool and weapon making, wilderness food preparation, safety, emergency management, and life skills.

I was the head wrangler assigned to take primary care of a string of approximately 20 horses owned by the ranch. My duties included proper feeding and care, fence and pasture maintenance, tack maintenance, saddling, providing basic instruction to guests, assisting with mounting and dismounting, leading trail rides that varied in length from 1 hour to 1 day (8 hours), and care of the horses after the day’s rides.

I grew up with horses and participated in the 4-H program showing horses in Western Pleasure, Western Equitation, Halter, and Trail Competitions. I spent every day riding horses through the trails in my backyard (Rainier National Forest) and exercising race horses for the Thoroughbred breeding farm next door. I also had a job there mucking stalls as well as assisting during breeding and foaling operations as needed. I have also participated in several large-scale cattle round-ups in Idaho and on the King Ranch in Northeastern Nevada. I have trained horses for friends to correct behavior issues. I am also skilled at dealing with health related issues in horses, such as colic, bruising, respiratory illness, etc. I am familiar with and have worked with multiple breeds of horses, drafts, and ponies.
